Fuerteventura (1779)



Map of the island of Fuerteventura (Canary Islands) made by Spanish geographer Tomás López (1730-1802). López was appointed royal geographer by Charles III of Spain in 1760. His main work is the unfinished Geographical Dictionary of Spain, kept in the National Library of Spain. Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands, after Tenerife.
